Inspiring generation

There's been a lot of talk about this drama, before even started airing and I must confess to you guys that I was in that group too. My attention first caught actor Kim Hyung Joong (Playfull kiss, Boys over flowers) whom I haven't seen in a while and the other was a seting 1930. I really liked that seting in a drama because of "Bridal mask" and I thought it would be awesome again. I guees I was right :D

The plot.

The plot is set in Korea, in 1930s. Shin Jung Tae is an oprhan who used to live with his sister. He lost his mother in a early age and he doesn't want to hear the word "father".  He is good at fighting.His childhood friend Kim Ok Ryeon is pretty much in love with him, but Jang Tae doesn't notice. One day he meets a beautiful, but mysterious girl, Gaya(who is half Japanese) and falls in love with her. But, things are not that simple.

So what happens next?

Gaya believes that Shin Jung Tae's father (whom he haven't seen in years and hates) killed her father, and she swears she will get revenge on both of them. She leaves to Japan, gets strenght and power.

And that's where the young character turns to older ones.

Inspiring generation,also Age of feeling aka Generation of youth, is very beautiful sageuk so far, set in a very interasting time, with fights between China and Japan, who both have desire to control more lands. It is also very nice to those ones who haven't got a clue about Asia, to meet interasting ways of culture.

There's also a lot of fights, Shing Jung Tae joins Dobi gang. Fighting scenes are so well- made that it looks totally real. And OSTs are killing me. 

Now, the character.

Shin Jung Tae: Kim Hyung Joong

Kim Hyung Joong play the role of Shin Jung Tae, a passionate fighter. He lives with his sick sister and he takes care of her. His mother died at a early age. He meets a mysterious girl and falls in love with her. But, when the things turn out wrong, she left him. When his sister meets the crisis of the illness he joins the Dobi Gang to save her. He is determined to prove to Gaya that his father is innocent. 

The young character who played is Kwak Dong Yun and he really done an excellent job. Besides looks, the character is exactly like old Shin Jung Tae. He is a FNC trainee. 

Deguchi Gaya: Im Soo Hyang

She is beautiful and strong lady. She has also a strong will and determined to know who killed her mother, get revenge, and to discover who she really is. She joins Il Gook Hwae after the death of her father in a intention to get revenge. She is cold and don't show her emotions, but the the person she carries in her hearts is Shin Jung Tae.

The young character who played her is Joo Da Young and she really potrated her well. You can see both of them at the picture above.
I'm personally on a team Gaya, 'cuz the character that Im Soo Hyang is potraying is so strong that I can feel it, literally. I don't really like Jin Se Yeon and she is persistenlty getting the main roles.

Kim Ok Ryeon: Jin Se Yeon

Ok Ryeon has known Shin Jung Tae since they were a little kids, always helped him and his sister. She has an unrequited love for Shin Jung Tae. Her mother was a gisaeng and she wants to become a singer.

Then she meets a charming man Kim So Ok ( potrayed by Kim Jae Wook, but he dropped out of drama, due to writers change). Anyway, if he was there I would totaly ship for those two, and she won't be in burden of Gaya and Shin Jung Tae, hehe I'm a little mean ^^ .

The young character is played by Ji Woo.

Mo Il Hwa: Song Jae Rim

Mo Il Hwa is also one mysterious character. He is on of Chinese leaders. Once the Il Gook Hwa destroyed his home, he dissapeared and appeared again in 15 episode. He is somehow linked to Jang Tae's father, I believe that Jung Tae father saved him.

I don't know if he's on the good or a bad side, but he's sure an interasting one. And an eyecandy ;)

Aoki: Yoon Hyun Min

The boss of Il Gook Hwae, Tenkai's adopted son. Aoki becomes the face of Shin Jung Tae, used by Tenkai's scheme intended to swallow the continent using Joseon as a stepping stone. He's raised by Tenkai and he has noble and romantic feelings for Gaya.

It has of couse more important character, like leader of  Hwangbang, Jung Jae Hwa the president of club Shangai,Shininci( a very important one), but this is for me in my opinion.

And yeah, I like to add that this drama has 24 episodes airing on Wed.- Thu. and it aired 18 episodes. I purposely didn't want to write deeply about characters, but If you want to know, you can give it a try to watch it ;) Nothing costs hehe :D
